UPSHUR COUNTY — Gilmer police are investigating an assault charge against Upshur County GOP Chairman Ken Ambrose. Police Chief James Grunden confirmed Saturday his office is looking into allegations made Friday by John Melvin Dodd about an incident that day at Upshur County Republican Party headquarters. According to the Longview News-Journal, in an interview, Dodd said the incident occurred while he was trying to conduct business at headquarters.<\/p>\n
