According to KETK, it happened around 6:30 Sunday evening north of Lufkin on US Highway 59 in the Redland area. Precinct 1 Constable Tom Selman clocked a man driving 83 mph in a 70 mph zone, and pulled him over. Constable Selman tells KETK, when he approached the vehicle, the smell of marijuana was very strong.<\/p>\n<p>Claude Welch, 53, Houston, admitted to having the pot. Constable Selman searched the vehicle and found three garbage bags full of marijuana. Each bag was about 10 pounds. Welch was arrested and booked into the Angelina County Jail on possession of marijuana.
