Just before 1:45 yesterday morning, Lieutenant Ben Kemper observed suspicious activity near the 500 block of Baylor Drive. When the suspects realized the police were watching them look into vehicles, they attempted to flee the area in a white 1999 Pontiac Grand Am. Police pursued the vehicle over a large portion of the city before deploying spike strips in the 1400 block of Parkview Street, where authorities were able to arrest the suspects.<\/p>\n<p>Adrian Cerda (pictured), 17, and Edwin Enrique Alarcon-Najera, 19, both of Longview were charged with two counts of burglary of a vehicle. Najera was also charged with evading arrest in a vehicle.
