That\u2019s according to KETK and the Longview News-Journal. Upshur County sheriff\u2019s deputies seized the dogs March 30 after a burglary investigation led them to a home on Texas 155 south of Gilmer. Owner Thelma Poche has 10 days to appeal Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace Laura Norred\u2019s decision that seven Chihuahuas, 14 Yorkshire terriers and eight Yorkshire puppies should remain in state care.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy objective was to raise show dogs,\u201d Poche testified Wednesday, specifying the terrier breed. \u201cI was trying to raise and choose from them which ones could be shown.\u201d No charges have been filed against Poche, though sheriff\u2019s Lt.
