The jury made its sentencing decision Monday in the case of Kimberly Saenz. The 38-year-old was convicted Friday of killing the patients and deliberately injuring five others at a clinic run by Denver-based health care giant DaVita Inc. Jurors also could have recommended that Saenz be put to death. Defense lawyers called nine witnesses during the punishment phase of the trial Monday, most of them attesting to Saenz\u2019s participation in her two children\u2019s school work and athletics.
