(AP\/Staff) \u2013 The federal government is considering closing court sites in 29 states, and one East Texas town is on the list. The government ranked the 60 federal court facilities that could close based on categories including cost, usage and location. Lufkin is ranked number 45. Many on the list are in rural areas. Other facilities on the chopping block in the Lone Star State are in Amarillo, San Angelo, Pecos, and Wichita Falls.
