Officials say it happened around 7:00 about a mile west of Maydelle on Hwy. 84. Deputy Lindsey reportedly hit a patch of water and hydroplaned off the road into a patch of trees. Cherokee County officials say Lindsey was injured in the accident but was able to stand up while emergency crews were on scene.
