Angelina County District Attorney Clyde Herrington laid out the accusations Monday during opening statements in the trial of Kimberly Saenz. The 38-year-old nurse is charged with capital murder in the April 2008 deaths and aggravated assault in the case of five other patients injured at the DaVita Dialysis clinic in Lufkin. Prosecutors say they\u2019ll seek the death penalty if she\u2019s convicted. Saenz stood at the defense table Monday holding her hands behind her back as a prosecutor read the six-count indictment against her.
