Eric Jason Wright pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm Wednesday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Roy S. Payne.<\/p>\n<p>According to authorities, on Aug. 7, 2010, Wright was found to be in possession of a shotgun in Upshur County. Further investigation revealed Wright had been convicted of delivery of a controlled substance in Upshur County in 1998. As a convicted felon, Wright is prohibited by federal law from owning or possessing firearms or ammunition. Wright was indicted by a federal grand jury on February 2, 2011. Wright faces up to 10 years in federal prison.
