It happened around 6:00 Thursday night in the 2200 block of the West Southwest Loop. The man was walking across the Loop from the north to south and got caught in the traffic. An eastbound pickup tried unsuccessfully to avoid the pedestrian. The 65 year old man was taken to East Texas Medical Center for treatment. Police Sgt. Robert Phillips says, while the man\u2019s injuries were serious, they appear to be non-life threatening.
