Wood County Sheriff\u2019s Department responded to a shooting at Holly Lake Ranch at 651 Holly Trail East #201-Q Just after 9:00 Wednesday night. Deputies found the victim, Tommy Winkle, 55, at a neighbor\u2019s residence with an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. Officials said he was alert and was taken to Trinity Mother Frances Hospital with life threatening injuries. Arvis Winkle, 56, was arrested and booked into the Wood County Detention Facility on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, family violence. According to KETK, a protective order was also issued against him in case he is released on bond.
