But this past December, the club decided to hold an auction to help those who saved their clubhouse this past summer. The fundraiser was held over the weekend; the three fire departments that benefited were Chapel Hill, Jackson Heights, and East Arp. The clubhouse was one of the many structures that had been threatened by wildfires, but due to the help of men like Jackson Heights Captain Russell Young, their building was saved.
