Upshur County Sheriff\u2019s Office spokesman Freddie Fitzgerald said reports of animal cruelty are being investigated at a residence near the intersection of Crabapple and Chinaberry Road, but he couldn\u2019t confirm any details of the investigation. Authorities wouldn\u2019t confirm the resident\u2019s name, but according to Gregg County records, 29-year-old Amber Jean Long lists the residence in the 3600 block of Crabapple Road as her home. Long could not be reached for comment. Upshur County officials said they couldn\u2019t confirm whether she was the resident being investigated.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said at the residence, there were about six horses, four miniature horses, about 20 dogs, a donkey and several chickens.
