ANGELINA COUNTY, Texas (KETK) \u2013 The Angelina County Sheriff\u2019s Office said a 16-month-old boy died on Tuesday night after they had a medical emergency at a daycare in Burke.

According to the sheriff\u2019s office, deputies were sent out with EMS to the Building Blocks Academy in Burke near Diboll at around 11 a.m. on Tuesday after a medical emergency was reported at the daycare<\/p>\n
EMS and the deputies immediately transported the child to a hospital in Lufkin, and the toddler was then transported by helicopter to a hospital in Houston. The toddler later died just before midnight on Tuesday, the sheriff\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n
Staff at the daycare have provided investigators with all the information they had about the emergency. Evidence gathered from the daycare is currently being reviewed by the Angelina County District Attorney\u2019s Office, which is a standard procedure.<\/p>\n
