ANGELINA COUNTY, Texas (KETK) \u2014 The former city administrator for the City of Hudson has been indicted for alleged abuse of official capacity, city officials said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Rodney McCarty was placed on administrative leave in December 2025 after a unanimous city council voted while the investigation was ongoing. The city said they took \u201cappropriate notice of allegations involving suspected improprieties\u201d when McCarty served as city administrator.<\/p>\n
Those allegations were submitted to the Angelina County Sheriff\u2019s Office, which led to an investigation by the Texas Rangers and referred back to the Angelina County District Attorney\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
\u201cCorruption will not be tolerated in the City of Hudson. Those entrusted by the citizens to use their hard-earned tax dollars wisely must always be held to the highest standards. I demand it and so should every public servant, whether they are elected or appointed,\u201d City of Hudson Mayor Caleb Ramsey said.<\/p>\n
