TYLER \u2014 Two men pleaded not guilty on Thursday after an ICE and FBI operation in June, after being accused of transporting illegal immigrants. Arturo Alcantar-Perez and Guillermo Limon-Sanchez pleaded not guilty today in federal court in Tyler to charges including conspiracy to transport illegal aliens, trafficking in false identification documents and conspiracy to commit money laundering.<\/p>\n
According to our news partner KETK, the two men were arrested on June 2 during an FBI and ICE operation at Ximena\u2019s Furniture Store in North Tyler.<\/p>\n
The charges stem from an alleged conspiracy to harbor and transport undocumented immigrants that began in May 2023. Alcantar-Perez and Limon-Sanchez remain in the custody of U.S. Marshals following their court appearance. <\/p>\n
Two women, Virginia Valdivia and Keyla Valdivia, were also charged in connection with the case, facing the same three charges as Alcantar-Perez and Limon-Sanchez.<\/p>\n
Keyla\u2019s attorney confirmed she pleaded not guilty at her initial appearance on June 3. According to the district court\u2019s office, Virginia has not yet made a plea and has until Aug. 31 to do so.<\/p>\n
The hearing on Thursday took place at the Eastern District of Texas Federal Court in Tyler. The June 2 arrests involved an \u201cauthorized court operation\u201d conducted by the FBI at Ximena\u2019s Furniture Store, located on Highway 69 in North Tyler.<\/p>\n
Alcantar-Perez and Limon-Sanchez are scheduled for a pre-trial conference on Aug. 17 at 1:30. The pre-trial conferences for Valdivia and Virginia Valdivia are set for Sept. 21.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
