POLK COUNTY \u2014 The Texas Department of Public Safety is looking for any victims of a person who allegedly impersonated law enforcement and conducted traffic stops in Deep East Texas, according to our news partner, KETK. Troopers are actively investigating reports they\u2019ve received of the law enforcement imposter in the area. The person allegedly conducted traffic stops while driving an unmarked black 2022 Jeep Gladiator on U.S. Highway 190 in Walker, San Jacinto, and Polk counties.<\/p>\n
Investigators said they continue trying to identify the suspect. Anyone believing they were pulled over by the impersonator, is urged to contact an investigator, or if they think they’ve been pulled over by a person driving the 2022 Jeep.
