Big Sandy Police Chief Tim Scott said officer Shanon Louise Davis was arrested shortly after12:45 Tuesday morning on U.S. 155 south of Gilmer by Department of Public Safety troopers. \u201cOfficer Davis\u2019 current situation should serve as a reminder that all of us are subject to the same laws and nobody is above the law, regardless of occupation or status as a law enforcement officer,\u201d Scott said.
