Rusk Police Sgt. Jeremy Farmer said the fatality happened at around 8:50 p.m., when Charlotte Goff, 55, was riding her bicycle along the roadway near Loop 343. Police said she fell onto the roadway and was then struck by an 18-wheeler that was passing by.<\/p>\n

Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Brenda Dominy pronounced Goff dead at the scene. The driver of the 18-wheeler stopped and is cooperating with the police, Farmer said.
