It happened just before 4:00 Saturday afternoon on County Road 2767 at Farm Road 757. Department of Public Safety officials tell our news partner, KETK, a 2001 Dodge Ram pick-up was driving northbound on FM 757 when he crossed over the intersection hitting the victim head-on. The victim was identified as Arthur DeWayne Murphy Jr., 50, Tyler. Troopers said the driver of the truck fled the scene on foot and escaped into some nearby woods.
