RUSK COUNTY – A cyber tip from the North Texas Internet Crimes Against Children lead to the arrest of an East Texas man possessing child pornography on Tuesday. According to our news partner KETK and the Rusk County Sheriff\u2019s Office, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for 35-year-old Christopher Smith II of Mount Enterprise following the cyber tip. A search warrant was also obtained to locate any additional child pornography he may have in his possession.<\/p>\n
The sheriff\u2019s office and a Texas Department of Public Safety officer who specializes in digital forensics executed the search warrant at Smith\u2019s home. Smith was taken into custody and several items were seized as evidence, the sheriff\u2019s office said. Smith is currently in the Rusk County Jail under a $65,000 bond for his possession of child pornography charge.
