Texana Land &#038; Asphalt Inc. came in as the lowest bidder on all four projects, which will all entail completely rebuilding the roadways and overlaying with asphalt. <\/p>\n<p>County Road 129, from CR 113 to U.S. Highway 69; and CR 146 will have 2.595 miles of roads improved for $704,852. Smith County Engineer Frank Davis said the project will take about three months and will be paid for out of the Road and Bridge Budget. Both roads are south of Tyler and are in Smith County Commissioner Precinct 1.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>CR 452, from U.S. Highway 69 to Farm-to-Market Road 2710, will have 5.152 miles of roads improved for $1,506,696. The road, which is northwest of Lindale, just had bridge construction completed, and the road project will take about four months. The project will be paid for with Road and Bridge Bonds. It is in Smith County Commissioner Precinct 3.<\/p>\n<p>CR 1143, from U.S. Highway 64 West to CR 1125; and CR 1145, from CR 1143 to Pleasant Hollow Road, will have 3.352 miles improved for $1,378,257. The roads are on the east side of Tyler Pounds Regional Airport and will be a four-month project. Davis said they plan to have them completed before the Rose City Airfest in October. Since those roads see heavier truck traffic than most roads, they will have a thicker, 3 inches of hot mix overlay, he said. The project will be paid for with Road and Bridge Bonds. These roads are in Smith County Commissioner Precinct 4.<\/p>\n<p>CR 471, from Texas Highway 110 to Tyler city limits; and CR 433, from CR 471 to Highway 110, will have 4.829 miles of roadway improved for $1,599,034. This will be a four-month project and will be paid for with Road and Bridge Bonds.
