According to the Henderson County Sheriff\u2019s Office and our news partner KETK, a narcotics investigator was investigating drug trafficking in Henderson County when they learned about a plan to deliver illegal drugs to the Henderson County Jail on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Several sheriff\u2019s office investigators and K9 deputies were able to intercept the delivery of drugs, which reportedly made use of a Gold Bond eczema cream tube to hide balloons of suspected cocaine, heroin, methamphetamines and pills.<\/p>\n<p>The sheriff\u2019s office has arrested Megan Chapman, 36 of Eustace, and Shannon Boyle, 47 of Eustace, with allegedly attempting to make the delivery to two inmates in the jail, Jessy Pierce, 28 of Mabank, and Joshua Sallings, 40 of Mabank.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The four, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ketk.com\/news\/crime-public-safety\/4-charged-for-trying-to-bring-drugs-into-henderson-county-jail-with-eczema-cream\/\">mugshots available here<\/a>,  were all each charged with two counts of manufacture\/delivery of a controlled substance, engaging in organized criminal activity and bringing a prohibited substance in a correctional facility.<\/p>\n<p>Boyle was also charged with possesion of a controlled substance after the sheriff\u2019s office said they found methamphetamines in her purse.<\/p>\n<p>Chapman\u2019s home in the 11000 block of County Road 2918 in Eustace was also searched and the sheriff\u2019s office reported finding meth, marijuana and tools used to conceal the drugs brought to the jail.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Henderson County Sheriff\u2019s Office remains committed to preventing the introduction of illegal narcotics into the jail system and prioritizing the safety of both inmates and staff,\u201d the sheriff\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n<p>The sheriff\u2019s office\u2019s investigation into this case is ongoing and more charges may be filed at a later date.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ATHENS \u2013 Four people have been charged for attempting to bring suspected cocaine, heroin, methamphetamines and illegal pills into the Henderson County Jail with a tube of eczema cream.
