Kirk Douglas Bolton, 56,had been convicted of five felony offenses, along with multiple misdemeanors. An undercover informant was wired with a hidden video camera and sent to buy cocaine from Bolton at his Gilmer apartment on March 23, Byrd said. Narcotics investigators maintained surveillance during the transaction and after money was exchanged, Bolton delivered the cocaine. <\/p>\n<p>Because Bolton\u2019s home at the Hidden Bend Apartments was within 1,000 feet of a public school, the offense was enhanced to a third-degree felony.
