Debris and sheetrock are currently being cleaned off the roads, which may delay traffic for one or two more hours. The Texas Department of Transportation is assisting in diverting traffic and suggests drivers avoid the area until the roadway and traffic has cleared. <\/p>\n<p>KILGORE \u2014 Traffic has come to a standstill on Interstate 20 north of Kilgore due to a multi-18-wheeler crash that occurred on Friday morning. According to our news partner KETK, the crash occurred at around 9:30 a.m. between State Highway 42 and State Highway 31, resulting in at least one person is in the hospital. Traffic is being redirected to the SH 42 exit.<\/p>\n<p>The Gregg County Sheriff\u2019s Office said that the closure affects the area near mile marker 587, with significant traffic congestion on the interstate. Officials indicate that the road will remain closed until further notice because of extensive debris.
