Authorities say Charles David McWhorter, 37, purchased cold pills containing pseudoephedrine at a Drug Emporium store in Longview. On that same day, he made three additional purchases at other stores in the area, all in furtherance of his methamphetamine manufacturing activities. McWhorter was indicted by a federal grand jury on Apr. 6, 2011. McWhorter faces up to 20 years in federal prison.
