ANGELINA COUNTY — A two-vehicle accident between a Lufkin school bus and a van sent two people to the hospital Wednesday afternoon. Richard Dial, 54, of Groveton, was northbound in a van hauling car and trailer around 2:00 on Denman Avenue when he changed lanes at a red light. His vehicle rear-ended a school bus. The bus driver, Latanya Brown, 41, of Lufkin, was taken to Memorial Medical Center-Lufkin by Lufkin Fire paramedics, but three teenagers aboard the bus were uninjured, according to Lufkin ISD Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. <\/p>\n
Dial, who is able to drive his van with wheelchair-accessible equipment, was also taken to Memorial. His passenger, Curtis Shaver, was uninjured.
