Glenn said the hospitalized Boyd was \u201cupbeat\u201d in their recent conversation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s what eases my mind, is that he\u2019s in good spirits,\u201d Glenn said Wednesday. \u201cHis wife and his kid, they\u2019re in good spirits and he will walk away from this just fine.\u201d<\/p>\n
Glenn was unsure when Boyd might be released from the hospital, where he has been listed in critical but stable condition.

\u201cDon\u2019t know just yet,\u201d the coach said. \u201cBut I will say this, just talking to him, he felt really upbeat. And again, that\u2019s what gives me comfort, that he feels like that and he\u2019s talking that way.\u201d<\/p>\n
New York police released surveillance images Monday of a man sought in the shooting of Boyd. A motive for the shooting remains under investigation and authorities said it\u2019s not clear if Boyd was targeted by the shooter. No other injuries were reported.<\/p>\n
The shooting happened just after 2 a.m. Sunday about halfway between Madison Square Garden and Times Square. Boyd, 29, was taken to Bellevue Hospital after being shot in the abdomen, police said. The shooter fled the scene.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
