The Marshall Police Department said officers responded to the shooting around 8:56 p.m. in the 1900 block of Bean Street. When officials arrived, they found the body of a man, identified as Carlos Dewayne Hill, 48 of Marshall. A preliminary investigation indicates that the person involved fled the area before officers arrived.<\/p>\n
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Marshall Police Department at (903) 935-4575 or Marshall-Harrison County Crime Stoppers at (903) 935-9969.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Mr. Hill,\u201d said Marshall Police Chief Cliff Carruth. \u201cOur investigators are working diligently to identify and locate the person responsible for this senseless act of violence.
