In October 2023, the San Jacinto County Sheriff\u2019s Office Criminal Investigations Division was notified by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services of several complaints of sexual misconduct and possible prostitution in the Cleveland area of San Jacinto County.<\/p>\n
The case went cold until September 2025, when the county reopened the investigation and identified two suspects, Glyn Banning and Jeremy Waltrapp, who are suspected of engaging in human trafficking. Law enforcement obtained statements from victims and witnesses that confirmed the allegations, county officials said.<\/p>\n
On Sept. 30, the Palestine Police Department aided in serving the arrest warrant at Banning\u2019s known address on Blanton Road. When she was arrested, officers could smell and see evidence of drug use at the house.<\/p>\n
An Anderson County judge issued a search warrant for Banning\u2019s residence, which resulted in the recovery of drug and drug paraphernalia items.<\/p>\n
The San Jacinto County Sheriff\u2019s Office said Waltrapp was also later arrested. Both suspects are being held on a human trafficking charge with a bond set at $1 million.<\/p>\n
Banning is being held at the Anderson County Jail on a $1,027,500 bond and has been charged with:<\/p>\n
Trafficking of a person
\nPossession of marijuana
\nPossession of a dangerous drug
\nTwo counts of possession of a controlled substance
\nAnimal running at large<\/p>\n
