Our news partner KETK and a press release from the Overton Police Department (OPD) reports that the victim was accidentally struck by a vehicle, which resulted in her becoming trapped under the car. OPD published <a href=\"https:\/\/ktbb.com\/post\/wp-content\/media\/2025\/10\/9.30.2025.pdf\">a press release<\/a> that illustrated the situation. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The adults at the scene did not call 911 right away and instead attempted to free the victim themselves,&#8221; the released said. After unsuccessful efforts, &#8220;[&#8230;] one adult female took control of the vehicle and, in an attempt to dislodge the child, intentionally drove over her a second time.&#8221; Overton PD described the act as a &#8220;tragic and reckless decision caused further injury to the victim,&#8221; that should have never happened.
