At around 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 6, Rusk County Sheriff\u2019s Office deputies received a call regarding a suspicious white Ford F-150 being parked in a closed dental office parking lot near State Highway 43. Once deputies arrived on the scene, the driver had left, and a witness told authorities that they had given them enough money to get to a gas station and stated the driver had two dogs with her.<\/p>\n
A vehicle matching the description of the truck was later observed by deputies at JJ\u2019s Gas Station, located at the intersection of Kilgore Drive and State Highway 64. Authorities approached the truck and found the suspect, identifying her as 49-year-old Susan Dann Bozarth, along with her two dogs.<\/p>\n
Deputies asked Bozarth to exit her truck due to two large knives being placed by the driver\u2019s seat. As she left her car, deputies saw several lighters on the floorboard, near the brake and gas pedals. Bozarth had a previous drug-related charge. While deputies searched the vehicle, they looked through Bozarth\u2019s purse, where they found several clear baggies that contained white looking shards of glass and two clear baggies with white granular-looking substance believed to be methamphetamine, according to officials.<\/p>\n
Following the search of her truck, Bozarth was placed under arrest and charged with possession of a controlled substance. The substance was later confirmed to be 20.3 grams of methamphetamine after using a narcotics field test kit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
