The individual has voluntarily remained isolated at their residence throughout their contagious period and has recovered from their case of measles.<\/p>\n<div class=\"v1elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"v1elementToProof\">Persons who have been fully vaccinated against measles with two doses of the MMR vaccine have a very low risk of contracting the disease. However, unvaccinated individuals remain at higher risk, as do those in some other groups, including:<\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"v1elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"v1elementToProof\">Children too young to have received both doses of the MMR vaccine yet<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1elementToProof\">Anyone who have received only one dose of MMR<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1elementToProof\">Those with compromised immune systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"v1elementToProof\">Measles is a highly contagious viral illness that spreads when an infectious person coughs or sneezes. Someone with measles can spread it to susceptible people for up to four days prior to the appearance of a rash and for up to four days after rash onset. Early symptoms include:<\/div>\n<div class=\"v1elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"v1elementToProof\">High fever (may spike to over 104\u00b0F)<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1elementToProof\">Cough, runny nose, and\/or red watery eyes<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1elementToProof\">White spots inside the mouth (Koplik spots)<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1elementToProof\">Appearance of a rash 3-5 days after symptoms begin<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"v1elementToProof\">In some cases, measles can also cause illness, sometimes leading to hospitalization or death. NET Health advises everyone to follow these recommendations to help prevent measles:<\/div>\n<div class=\"v1elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"v1elementToProof\">If you believe you have spent time with someone who has measles and you are experiencing symptoms consistent with measles, please seek medical care as\u00a0soon as possible.
