PALESTINE \u2013 Funeral arrangements are pending for a Palestine school girl hit by a car over the weekend. Killed was Tyrona Whitt, 9. She apparently was trying to cross Farm Road 322 South of Palestine late Saturday morning when the accident occurred. She was first taken to Palestine Regional Medical Center before being flown to Children\u2019s Medical Center in Dallas where she died Sunday. Extra counselors have been on duty at Southside Elementary to help the students.
