This year, the event will be hosted at the Tyler Senior Center, 1915 Garden Valley Rd.,\u00c2\u00a0on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Park Service Day is an event where each September volunteers take on beautification and restoration projects. This year&#8217;s projects includes giving the interior of the Senior Center a fresh coat of paint, updating the flower beds out front, building a retention wall at Fun Forest Park, repainting the safety signs and steps at the Fun Forest pool, and adding a mural to the restroom area.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n&#8220;We&#8217;ve decided to concentrate our efforts on one area to create a unified community atmosphere,&#8221; said KTyB Coordinator Casey Williams. &#8220;We&#8217;re eager to join forces with the community to enhance these valued places and make them even more welcoming!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Volunteers are asked to pre-register online at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/park-service-day-2024-tickets-948320089917?aff=oddtdtcreator\">bit.ly\/KTB24PSD<\/a>. Lunch will be provided to all pre-registered volunteers, along with a free shirt and a chance to win door prizes.
