The PUCT and ERCOT are calling for conservation efforts \u00e2\u20ac\u0153due to continued freezing temperatures, very high demand and unseasonably low wind,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d PUC leaders said in a Sunday release. The National Weather Service has a hard freeze warning in effect for our region until 11 a.m. Wednesday. <\/p>\n<p>ERCOT is asking both businesses and residents to conserve electricity use, officials said on social media. Those experiencing and outage can report it to the PUCT by emailing <a href=\"mailto:consumer@puc.texas.gov\">consumer@puc.texas.gov<\/a> or by calling 1-888-782-8477.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>    ERCOT is not experiencing emergency conditions at this time. ERCOT will remain vigilant and communicate further if emergency operations are necessary due to continued freezing temperatures and very high demand in the morning hours. The PUCT and ERCOT continue to monitor weather conditions and will keep the public informed through their websites and social media channels.<br \/>\n    Jan. 14 Public Utility Commission of Texas release<\/p>\n<p>In the PUCT\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s release, officials said ERCOT is also requesting that all government agencies \u00e2\u20ac\u0153implement all programs to reduce energy use at their facilities.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>The PUCT runs a storm resources page outlining outage maps and electricity providers\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 contact information.
