EAST TEXAS — The unofficial results from the November 7 election are in. More than a dozen proposed Texas constitutional amendments were on the ballot Tuesday, addressing laws on everything from property taxes and water projects to preventing what some call “wealth taxes.” <\/p>\n
Proposition 1 – Right to Farm and Ranch:
\nFor: 2,009,435 79.02%
\nAgainst: 533,453 20.98%<\/p>\n
Proposition 2 – Childcare Tax Exemption:
\nFor: 1,616,119 64.78%
\nAgainst: 878,605 35.22%<\/p>\n

Lindale ISD Proposition A:
\nFor: 2,825 96.15%
\nAgainst: 113 3.85%<\/p>\n
Longview ISD voters say no to nearly $360 million bond propositions. Voters did not pass either Proposition for the district. Proposition A results were 48% for and 52% against. Proposition B results were 46% for and 54% against.<\/p>\n
Pine Tree ISD $55 million bond proposition passed by voters. Pine Tree ISD voters chose to approve the $55 million bond measure by a vote of 59% for and 41% against.<\/p>\n
