\"\"TYLER \u00e2\u20ac\u201c The University of Texas at Tyler Ben and Maytee Fisch College of Pharmacy ranked within the top 100 pharmacy schools in the nation to receive funding from the National Institutes of Health in 2022. In 2022, the NIH awarded only 21% of the applications with funding. Established in 2015, the Fisch College of Pharmacy ranked among many more established pharmacy colleges with greater numbers of faculty members.\u00e2\u20ac\u0153In the short time that FCOP has been in existence, these efforts demonstrate the passion and\u00c2\u00a0 commitment of our faculty, supported by many talented post docs and students,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Dr. Amy

\nDr. Rahmat M. Talukder, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Health Outcomes chair, agreed with Schwartz. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Being a relatively new institution, our inclusion in this list highlights our rapid progress and
\ndedication to the pursuit of knowledge,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Talukder. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153These grants will significantly enhance our
\nresearch capabilities, leading to potential breakthroughs that can positively impact health care.

\nThe following faculty were NIH grant recipients in fiscal year 2022:
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Dr. Santosh Aryal: $900,545
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Dr. Ayman Hamouda: $638,000
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Dr. May Abdelaziz: $380,750
\nThese grants will support each faculty\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s research initiatives in areas such as nanomedicine,
\ntreatments for Parkinson\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s disease and bacterial resistance. This funding will expand research
\nopportunities within the college and could lead to medical advances that benefit the entire
\ncommunity.
\nThe Fisch College of Pharmacy offers a four-year Doctor of Pharmacy degree program. In 2023,
\n100% of students matched with a residency program and 100% passed the Pharmacy Curriculum
\nOutcomes Assessment.
