According to our news partner KETK, John Stevens was charged with criminally negligent homicide and injury to a child after the January 2019 crash with a Union Pacific train killed 13-year-old Christopher Bonilla and injured nine-year-old Joselyne Torres. The case, which has been repeatedly delayed, had previously been set for a jury trial on Feb. 22, 2022.
