Jimmy McClelland, 25, was taken into custody on a charge of second-degree felony injury to a child. McClelland initially told police at the hospital that he was rocking the child and heard a pop. A CPS investigator also responded to the emergency room, noting further injuries, including retinal hemorrhaging consistent with shaken baby syndrome, but without brain swelling.
