In an appearance yesterday before U.S. Magistrate Judge John D. Love, Penni Sue Mooney, 48, of Carthage, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess pseudoephedrine with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine. She faces up to 20 years in federal prison. A sentencing date has not been set.<\/p>\n<p>According to federal prosecutors, on March 21, 2010, Mooney purchased cold pills containing pseudoephedrine at a Rite-Aid store in Shreveport, Louisiana and attempted to make an additional purchase that same day in the area with intentions of bringing the cold pills to Panola County where they would be used to manufacture methamphetamine.
