Bales Friday.   Edward Charles Lee pleaded guilty in Marshall to being a felon in possession of a firearm on Aug. 11, 2011, before U.S. Magistrate Judge Charles Everingham, IV.   According to information presented in court, on Apr. 7, 2011, Lee was found in possession of numerous firearms.  Further investigation revealed Lee was a convicted felon, having been previously found guilty of battery in 1993.  As a convicted felon, Lee is prohibited by federal law from owning or possessing firearms or ammunition.  Lee was indicted by a federal grand jury on May 11, 2011, and charged with federal firearms violations.    Lee faces up to 10 years in federal prison at sentencing.
