According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, 75-year-old Clara Edwards of Jacksonville was found unresponsive in her cell early Sunday morning. She was pronounced dead after EMS arrived. Edwards had been jailed since February on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
