TYLER — Several East Texas airports are receiving relief grant funding. A media brief from U.S. Senator John Cornyn, indicated seven airports will see a total of $184,500 in an effort to fight the spread of COVID-19. The funds were provided through the Coronavirus Relief and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2020. In a prepared statement, Senator Cornyn said, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153More and more Texans are getting vaccinated every day and we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve seen an uptick in air travel as a result. I am glad to have helped deliver this funding that will improve the health and safety of transportation workers and travelers in the greater Tyler area.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n

Palestine- Palestine Municipal $23,000<\/p>\n
Winnsboro- Winnsboro Municipal $9,000<\/p>\n
Gladewater- Gladewater Municipal $13,000<\/p>\n
Gladewater- Gladewater Municipal $67,500<\/p>\n
