Man survives bike crash

CHEROKEE COUNTY — Officials say that a motorcyclist is alive because he was wearing proper gear. According to our news partner KETK, the man was flown to UT Health Sunday, after hitting a deer on his motorcycle near Cherokee County on FM-343. The driver was thrown head first down on the road, suffering possible broken ribs as well as cuts and contusions to both hand after gloves were ripped off by the pavement.
