KILGORE — ETCOG’s Solid Waste program is now accepting applications for its annual Municipal Solid Waste grant funds. Applicant need to be in the 14 county region in one of those types of entities.” Approximately $151,223 is estimated to be allocated by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to regional solid waste minimization efforts in East Texas.

Vanderbilt continued, “Typically in the community we see ISD’s, and cities applying to host local clean-up projects at their school or in their community. We will see a lot of recycling projects. It will fund litter abatement officers in the area, that may work for a city or in a county.” Local governments and special districts may apply for funds by submitting an application to ETCOG by September 30, 2020, by 4:00 PM.
