Man Arrested for Suspected Copper Theft

LONGVIEW — One man is in custody accused of copper theft. Sunday evening around 5:45, a Longview Police Officer noticed a suspicious vehicle in the area of Mobberly Avenue and Humble Street. The vehicle fit the description of a vehicle that had previously been used in several copper and other metal thefts in Longview. Danny Wayne Milam, 29, of Henderson was arrested after authorities determined he had stolen copper, underground tank covers, and other items from several area locations. He was booked into the Gregg County Jail on charges of felony theft and driving while license suspended.
