Sparkling Clean of East Texas to Sanitize Tyler ParksTYLER — On Monday, Adriana Rodrigues told KTBB, that all Tyler area parks will be cleaned and sanitized this week, by Sparkling Clean of East Texas, “the business offered to provide the work free of cost as a way of help to the community.” Rodrigues continued saying, “the sanitation process which includes playgrounds, water fountains, benches, picnic tables, etc, is not a forever fix. Guests visiting the parks and playgrounds should continue to use hand sanitizer, wash their hands constantly and wipe off the equipment before and after use.”

The parks scheduled to be cleaned beginning Monday running through Friday are listed below.

Bergfeld Park
Children’s Park
Faulkner Park
Gassaway Park
Hillside Park
Lindsey Park
Rose Rudman Trail
Southside Park
Tyler Municipal Rose Garden
Woldert Park
Glass Recreation Center

The cleaning solution will need to dry for at least ten minutes after application to be fully effective. Due to the conditions, while this cleaning will remove the majority of bacteria from these surfaces, it is not a long-term solution nor does it guarantee the complete disinfection of equipment. Residents and visitors should continue to practice social distancing and follow the guideline of avoiding groups of more than ten people. As always, if you, your child or someone in your home is sick or at higher risk for infection, please stay home.
