Murder in Marshall involving Girlfriend’s Brother

MARSHALL — Marshall Police received a 911 call from a residence on Evans Rd Wednesday night shortly before 11 p.m. Police say a female told them her brother had just shot her boyfriend. Officers arrived and located a male victim with a gun shot wound to the head in a bedroom. Paramedics also entered the residence and determined that the victim was deceased. The victim was identified as Anniel Dixon, 31, of Marshall.
The alleged shooter, Earnest Miles Jr, 34 of Marshall remained at the scene and was taken into custody without incident. Mr. Miles was processed into the Harrison County Jail on the charge of Murder. This is an active investigation.
