EAST TEXAS — The Federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services have released the latest rankings for hospital quality and safety ratings. According to our news partner KETK, several factors impact the rankings: how often patients get infections after a surgery, how long an emergency room wait time is before seeing a doctor or nurse, and more. Despite the ratings, reimbursements from Medicare and Medicaid are not affected. A list of hospitals and rankings is available on the next page.
